Why Did We Make This Quilt?
We're teens growing up in Cambridge — students at the Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School — and we want our city to become the most environmentally sustainable city in the world.
Making this quilt is the Sprouts of Hope's way of contributing to our community's efforts to make our dream become our city's reality.
With the help of Clara Wainwright — local quilt maker extraordinaire — we've created a vision of what a sustainable city could look like.
Our quilt shows what we imagine is possible.
We hope you will borrow our quilt — our lending gift to the city of Cambridge. We want you to display it as a way of engaging people in thinking about ways to improve our city's sustainability.
Hang it from your ceiling or on your walls, where our quilt can inspire your ideas and spur those who see it to act.
